Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup peanut butter (creamy or crunchy)
  • 2 cups whole grain cereal (like puffed rice or granola)
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)
  • 1/4 cup mini marshmallows (optional)
  • 1 pinch salt (optional)

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a large bowl, combine the peanut butter, honey (or maple syrup), and a pinch of salt. Stir them together until smooth. If you’re using chocolate chips and mini marshmallows, add them now.
  • Gradually add the cereal to the mixture. Stir well until all the cereal is evenly coated with the peanut butter mixture.
  • Once mixed, take small portions of the mixture and roll them into bite-sized balls.
  • Place the cereal bites on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Refrigerate for about 30 minutes or until they are firm.
  • After chilling, your peanut butter cereal bites are ready to enjoy!

Notes

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week. For longer storage, consider placing them in the freezer with parchment paper in between to prevent sticking. Don’t overmix to avoid breaking down the cereal. Chill long enough to ensure they hold their shape.
