Instructions
Preparation
Begin by seasoning the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Set aside for a few minutes to allow the flavors to mix.
Cooking Chicken
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the seasoned chicken breasts and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set it aside on a plate.
Sautéing Mushrooms
In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sliced mushrooms. Sauté for about 5 minutes, or until the mushrooms are tender and have released their moisture.
Making the Sauce
Pour in the heavy cream and stir, cooking until the mixture starts to bubble. Stir in the shredded Asiago cheese, mixing well until the cheese melts and the sauce becomes thick.
Combining Chicken and Sauce
Return the cooked chicken breasts to the skillet and coat them in the creamy mushroom sauce. Let it simmer for another 3-4 minutes to heat through.
Serving
Plate the chicken with the sauce poured on top. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired. Enjoy your Mushroom Asiago Chicken!
Notes
Avoid overcooking the chicken to ensure it remains moist. Use fresh ingredients for the best flavor.
