  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley (for garnishing)

For the Mac & Cheese

  • 2 cups elbow macaroni
  • 2 tablespoons butter for sauce
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Preparation of Chicken

  • In a medium bowl, mix together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Set this mix aside.
  • Heat 2 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Place them in the skillet and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
  • Pour the honey garlic mixture over the chicken. Let it simmer for about 5 minutes to allow the sauce to thicken.
  • Once done, remove the chicken from the skillet and slice it. Drizzle some sauce over the sliced chicken and sprinkle with fresh parsley.

Preparation of Mac & Cheese

  • In a large pot, cook the elbow macaroni according to package instructions. After cooking, drain and set aside.
  • In the same pot, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add the flour and whisk for 1 minute until it is smooth.
  • Gradually add in the milk while whisking constantly. Cook until the sauce thickens.
  • Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until it melts completely. Add the cooked macaroni and mix everything well.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Serving

  • Plate the honey garlic butter chicken alongside a scoop of mac & cheese. Enjoy your protein-packed meal!
